Ceria-Day Two

The sun rises, bright and shiny. The new day has begun.
There are only a few clouds today, and no rain.

Kaley stretches as she awakens in her usual tree perch. "Yesterday... Was awesome. Hmm... 13 percent chance of attack, I think. Maybe 15." She says, to herself.

Eda yawns, stretching as she wakes. She looks around quietly, then grins, sneaking out of the house and leaving a trail of plants in her wake as she heads to where she met her new friends the day before.

Earan wakes up in his own bed, the smell of delicious food causing him to stir. He checks his hand for the ring, wondering if the previous day's events had all been a dream.

A loud noise is heard from outside his house, like a screeching crash. Sounds almost like a kitri dying, even.

Earan sighs, taking that noise as a sign his life was permanently altered. He headed down to the kitchen to eat.

Out the windows can be seen the scene of Kaley shooting down a kitri. Kaley then stretches and waits.

Eda waves at Kaley when she sees her, running over cheerfully.

Earan shakes his head, stubbornly set on NOT going on anymore adventures.

Kaley grins grimly at Eda. "Careful, there may be multiple kitri around."

"Kitri? Why would they be around? They're not very nice, I don't like them." Eda frowns a little, chewing on the tip of her hair.

"Because the kitri were here yesterday, and there was one just a moment ago."

Earandil, after repeated nagging by his mother, takes the trash out to the bin.

"Ah. It took you long enough. We've got things to plan. Buildings to raid. Archives to search." Kaley stretches a bit. "We've got to find out what's got the government boys spooked. Ran into one a little while ago."

"No."

Kaley raises an eyebrow. "Did I ask? We've got rather important things to do."

"Hey, you know... might be a bad idea to make her mad. Just saying."

"First off, if you want my help, you had BETTER ask. Second, I'm perfectly fine with you running off and doing your important work by yourself."

"We don't have time to argue. We have places to get, and I've determined your help will make it much easier to accomplish the necessary work. As well, I have some information I expect you will probably want." Kaley looks annoyed.

"Yeah, she's mad."

"I appreciate the assistance and all yesterday, but I'm not your puppet or your lap dog. Find another Death user."

She now looks annoyed and holds out a hand. A small light appears above it, forming a hologram. "Look here. That building. That's the one with the government's physical records. The stuff they keep offline and guarded against people like me, and away from everyone else. Research on ... certain people, and certain descendants of those people. You getting what I mean? Or need I spell it out?" The hologram is of a series of buildings, one of them is highlighted.

"I get what you mean, but I'm not helping you. I told you, I'm finding my father on my own. What you don't seem to realize is that people have free will, and choices."

Eda fidgets, looking upset. "Please don't fight! You're firends! Friends shouldn't fight!"

"Let me rephrase that. You help me, I give you the location to that building. You can use that however you want. That sound better?" She breathes deeply, attempting to calm herself. "I'm sorry, Eda." she, reluctantly, apologizes.

"Huh. I expected her to snap. She's much calmer than her grandmother was."

"I told you, no. Eda, YOU are my friend, not this manipulative individual."

Kaley looks like she's about to say something about that, but a man dressed all in black walks up behind her. "Found you." He says, and Kaley turns around with her gun drawn.

"Back up."

"Sure, sure." The man steps back, empty hands raised.

Earan glances at the ring on his finger.
'I don't suppose you know a way to get rid of these people from my doorstep, do you?'
