Day One

"Well, you don't need your soul, you're just sort of a mindless zombie without one. If you're a wimp, maybe you'd even die." Annette looks thoughtful for a moment, her orb glowing bright green. She then peers over to the stranger who'd offered their own soul, a bright smile spreading across her face. "Really? And what's your name?"

Annette cocked her head to the side, curiosity bright in her eyes. "Vicheryn. That's a pretty name." Her childish innocence came about from the fact that she hasn't been alive very long, despite being fully grown at birth. "No, I don't want your soul. You're not a boy."

"My dear, dear lady, I'm afraid we all quite need our souls here. However, once we have finished here, there are many people of my homeworld who do no need theirs..." Liron smiles brightly at the woman, adjusting his staff.

"I kind of need mine for now, but in the final hours of my life, I give you rights to my soul." He picks up his sword, swings it around a bit, then sheathes it.

"Well, I would give you my soul... but I'm kind of lacking one, ya know, being partly a machine." He thinks again, making sure he was correct and then nods. "Nope, no soul, but if you want, you can have Liron's. Not like he needs it anyways." Lysp makes a smirk towards Liron.

Rylini smiles, the gears in her head shifting and turning. "Ya know, my father could use someone like you, for the people who just -can't- be allowed to have a soul in the afterlife. If you're ever interested, you can talk to me."

"And what's stopping me from taking any of your souls now?" She said this without a hint of malice in her voice, a completely innocent inquiry.

Annette flicked one of her many tails, pondering Rylini's offer. "Your father? And who would that be? And does that mean more souls for me? I'm hungry."

Liron looks to Lysp sharply. "Now Lysp.... Soul's are *highly* necessary to the making of magic."

Lysp's tail flickers and splits into sixteen tails, each of them with a differently shaped blade on them, not ready for combat, just... swaying. "Well, for one, me and Liron, we know what we're doing, and as soon as you think you know how we fight, I'll just shift and our tactics will change. I see power in you, but eventually, you -will- wear down, whereas I will never become tired or hungry." He responds with no threat in it at all, simply factual knowledge. "Not that we'd -want- to fight you though, you seem like you would make a decent ally. And to you Liron, I use magic without a soul, I'm sure we could work out -something- for you.

Rylini speaks, with a touch of arrogance and pride in her voice. "My father is known as Ereshkigal, Mictlantecuhtli, Hades, Osiris, Pluto, Mors, and many more names. Most commonly to any race, my father is known as Death. He is the collector and harvester of souls, and the keeper of the underworld, and he has many servants or 'henchmen' to harvest souls to return to the underworld. While you could not keep -all- of them, I'm sure we could work something out for your reward."

Annette stared at the bladed tails, not even bothering to hide it. Without averting her eyes, she parted her lips to speak. "You have a lot of tails too? Yay!" She replied cheerily, clapping her hands together in another demonstration of her childlike exuberance. She rushed over to Lysp, reaching out to run her fingers across the leftmost blade, drawing blood in the palm of her hand on accident. It seems to go unnoticed, her pain completely overriden by the fun she was having.

Still at no adult level of maturity, she turned her head to look at Rylini, still fiddling with Lysp's tails . "Death? That sounds scary. I don't know about that one." She turned back to her amusement, a bunch of thin scarlet lines coalescing across her fingers.

Zarkaeloth pulls his bow, then pulls an arrow and aims at a tree, then fires, he continues to do this routine while the others talk.

Liron chuckles, watching the kitsune and rolling his eyes. "Foxes.." he mutters.
Lina stays silent, just kinda blinking. She edges over to the little boy, trying to pick him up.

Vicheryn and Shon move near Lina and the boy and stand there protectively, Vicheryn giving Lina a small smile and Shon looking terrified but determined.

Lysp's extra tails vanish, and his tail glows a pale blue, almost white and hovers over her hands, healing them. "Silly child." He speaks in a very caring and obviously amused tone.

Rylini chuckles at her statement. "And scared with good reason, he could kill you in a heartbeat, but fortunately he doesn't want to and you could be a very useful asset. "

The little boy in question appears to be growing roots.

Annette seems disappointed when his tails disappear, her ears drooping. Her fascination returns when the wounds on her hands start to heal, the skin molding itself together until there wasn't a trace of a cut left. She looks up at Lysp, wide-eyed, her orb glowing a rosy pink.

Rylini's words didn't go unheard by Annette, but she was so awe-inspired by Lysp's powers that Annette didn't bother to look over.

Zarkaeloth stops shooting arrows to recover the ones he's already shot at the tree. "What's the plan, or do we even have one?" He then resumes to shooting the same tree.

"I have risen, now I'm ready to go, make sure you all have food, I can take us to the next city via flight."
