H.R.R. Book 1: The Beginning - Chapter 8b

Our equipment included:

A rifle
A shotgun
A revolver
2 handguns
A handgun with a silencer (definitely questioned Orlando’s hobbies)
Ammo…and lots of it
6 The Works bombs
2 flamethrowers
A squirt gun filled with our home-made napalm
2 extra lighters
4 land mines
2 knives
2 swords (I collect that sort of thing)
4 “ninja stars”
A brass knuckle
2 sets of makeshift armor
1 med-kit

I claimed the rifle, revolver, silenced gun, and the brass knuckle. Joe claimed the shotgun, both handguns and the squirt gun. After that, we evenly divided up the rest, loaded the guns, and put the rest of the ammo and med kit in a bag. We each equipped ourselves as we saw fit, and left for the drive way. Out the door, we saw one zombie only, which Joe promptly killed. His shot was good. We then threw our bags into the RV, I hopped in the driver’s seat, and we drove off. We were heading into town, to pick up anyone we could, probably at the library or school, seeing as there was some dumb event going on today, and then we planned to head off to wherever we saw fit. The plan seemed solid. I was wrong…again.
