Ceria - History

Ceria is a world where magic was found after technology had become widespread. The discovery that every intelligent being had some potential to control the world around them beyond what was thought of as 'normal' was shocking. As soon as the scientists had found the formula, it was stolen, and released into the air. Quickly, in a matter of months, every human being had been unlocked. The other results of this included areas -that would normally been worship sites but were not- becoming active, allowing half human beings through. Other creatures, gods, ghosts, and such, have started to enter slowly, especially the ones limited by belief.
Other things took notice of this change as well. Such as the kitri. The kitri feed off of magic, having developed in a world full of it. As they became more advanced, and ran out of magic, they started to examine other worlds. When they saw Ceria, it was the perfect world to take, as the formula that gave people their powers could unlock the magical potential in anything. The perfect food source. Just one problem: People were still there. For the kitri, this wasn't too much of a problem. They thought. They were far more advanced, both technologically and magically. Unfortunately, Ceria has an advantage: they can combine both of them. The kitri's beliefs, if you could call them that, prevent them from doing so.
