| Siuan paced back and forth in her room. Finally she called one of the servants. "Yes my lady?" The young curtsied. Siuan turned to her. "Saddle my horse. I'm going to my father." The servant quickly ran to do so. Siuan got on her horse and rode fast and hard to reach the forest. Siuan reached the aftermath of the battle, and, seeing the falling Shali, Siuan leaped off her horse and ran to catch her. "SHALI!" Siuan yelled, terrified.
