Day 1 (The Facility)

((Sorry I haven't been on much everyone, I've been out of my ADHD meds, and it's been all I can do to remain focused in class, but I've got 'em back now, so hopefully I should be posting at least slightly more frequently.))

Krori slips past Eirye into the room, and stands next to Jimmy and Beth. They remain in the darkness for several moments, before the-((Please excuse the extreme cliche))- lights flicker slightly several times before abruptly lighting the entire room.

What they see is a sight that would make any normal person run screaming, and then proceed to vomit. In front of them is such a combination of blood in gore that it is nearly impossible to tell how many-much less who- bodies there were scattered around the room. If they managed to get past the gruesome sight before them, they would see that it appeared to be a lab of some sort, with computers and lab files disorganized from the obvious struggle from the killing of the assumable scientists in the room. There was a large conference table in the center of the large room, surrounded by several lab stations with various test tubes, petri dishes and the like. On the desk next to them, there was a computer that appeared to be running off of some sort of backup generator under it, with several files next to them both of which were splattered with blood.

Krori takes a sharp intake of breath, and turns away before slowly looking back with her hand over her mouth. "Oh gods..."

A high pitched squeal is ripped from Victoria's throat, followed by the overwhelming feeling of disgust and the telltale sound of regurgitation. Victoria was desensitized to dead bodies--she was a pre-med student--but the amount of carnage that had taken place in this room served to sicken her like no other. Tears stung at her eyes, the acidic mixture searing her esophagus. Once she was finished, she wiped her mouth with the back of her sleeve.

"God, what the hell happened here?" she asked, reciting the question on everyones' minds.

Not everyone had the outward reaction of the other two. Jimmy viewed the room with a clinical eye, desensitized to violence. He viewed the room with a tracker's eye, taking in the blood and gore as well as the scattered lab materials.
"Hmm... the scientists in this facility were taken by surprise. Whatever it was, it was not human. Interesting." Unlike the reactions of the others, who had recoiled instinctively away, Jimmy was kneeling closer, getting a better sense of what had happened. "Either way, we went from having to deal with security personnel, to dealing with whatever THIS was. I definitely would've preferred the security." Everything he says is cold, and clinical. It was a simple analysis of the situation, nothing more, the kind that would make you question the man's humanity.

"What happened? What is that smell? Is somebody dead?" Eiyre asks. Of course she could use her visor, but that was painful and she didn't want to see blood and gore.

"Okay. Are... Are we going to be walking through whatever it is?" Eiyre does not sound enthusiastic about this idea.

She smiles. "Thank you."

"You lead the way, then." Eirye reaches out and to touch his shoulder.

Jimmy leans down a little to help her, before beginning to lead her through some of the worst of the blood and gore.

((Oh, you never split the party.))

"You two, wait a second, let's take a second to try and find out what the hell happened here. Trying the computer would probably be our best bet." Krori walks over to the computer station and looked at the screen; it was a series of lab results and journal entries. She looked for the most recent journal entry and opened it, reading it aloud.

May 24th, 2012-

Krori glanced up, and looked at the others. "There's more, looks like they span back several weeks. "

Victoria, still feeling a bit nauseous, stumbled over to the computer that was in speculation. "Creatures? They sound pretty scary, from what this guy was saying... Can you try and see if you can find anything about why we're in here?" She took a moment to run her fingers through her hair, disgusted by the grime that had built up on it. Even her clothes had traces of filth on them from lack of wash. The entire ordeal of capture-and-escape was made worse by the fact that she was very concerned with appearances--even in such a situation as this.

((I.... Fucking ditsy blondes.))

Krori continues looking on the computer, and pulls up several more lab journals, and quickly skims over them. "Nope, I don't see anything here..." As she speaks she scans over the blood-spattered files, and picks them up, having a very bad feeling about whatever was in them.

"Ugh, this place is filthy," Victoria complains, tentatively swiping off whatever is matted onto her usually pristine blouse. "I'd love a hot shower right about now." It was amazing how quickly she recovered from the gore that lay across the floor, already jabbering on about luxuries opposed to survival. It was then she realized that not only did she feel unclean, but she was also hungry as well as thirsty. She picked her way across the room, searching for something that would make her feel better. "I want some food, and I'd kill for a Coke right now."

Eiyre, if she could, would roll her eyes right about now. As it is, she mimes gagging motions and shakes her head. "We should leave, not stay around reading when whatever it is could still be here."

Beth looks around, seeming unfazed as she starts walking around the entire room. She stops at one point to stick her hand in a puddle of blood, grinning slowly.

Victoria looks at Beth with a horrified expression on her face. "What are you doing? That's blood!" Having been around blood, that wasn't what had surprised her--it was the creepy as hell look on her face.

"What are you talking about? Is something happening?"

"She's just sticking her hand in a puddle of blood! That's disgusting!" she shrieked, backing as far away from the girl as she could. She didn't realize she was making such a big deal out of nothing--but this kind of thing just didn't happen.

"Oookay, can we leave now?" She turns her head towards Jimmy. "As in now now? I don't want to be around a crazy lady."

Krori, attempting to block out the chaos around her opens the file to see a picture of herself, as well as some text, reading it, at the top she sees her first name: Krori is also explains her abilities of what they call metamorphosis and atomic force manipulation "I.... what the hell is this! Lab reports, statistics, patient analysis?!" She looks at each picture in turn, and hands it to their respective owners.

"What does it say about me?" Eiyre, being blind, doesn't look at the picture.

Jimmy glances at his name, then tosses it aside.
"I'll read it to you on the way. We should go," Jimmy says to Eiyre, glancing around at the others.
